Remove inactive users

This article explains why you should remove inactive users from your reports.

Why should you remove inactive users from a report?

When Jira access is suspended for an inactive employee or client, the user is not automatically removed from the reports they own or can access. If the user returns, a Jira admin typically reviews their project access to ensure it matches their current role and responsibilities.

The steps for removing or suspending Jira access are described in a related article.

As part of this process, we recommend that a Jira admin transfer ownership of any report owned by an inactive user to an active one. Also, inactive users should also be removed as report admins and from the list of users with access to a Limited report.
